We wish to thank OUR SCHOOL FAMILIES, PARISHIONERS, and FRIENDS of Saint Michael School who assisted by selling tickets, donating desserts and/or baskets, and giving of their time for set up, clean up and working the event. The sharing of talents from so many made our “Christmas Gift Extravaganza” a PHENOMENAL success! We especially are grateful to Rachel Beiswenger for purchasing all the prizes, Theresa Kelly for preparing the delicious meal, Gene Pietrowski for donating his DJ Services, Lois Stoltz, Abby Rice and bingo workers for selling walk around tickets. In addition, we would like to personally thank the Driskel family for all their help from start to finish and dedication to Saint Michael School. We cannot thank them enough for the giving of their time, talents and donations.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12th, all students will be attending “Education Day” sponsored by the St. Francis University Women’s Basketball Team. Activities include a career fair and being spectators at the SFU vs Seton Hill Griffins game. All students will need to pack their lunch or purchase a brown bag lunch from our school cafeteria.
Our RADA cutlery fundraiser is underway. RADA will be sold by our school families now through Friday, November 15th. If anyone is interested in purchasing any items, please contact any school family or the school office @ 472-9117 for assistance. Save the date! Saint Michael School Council is sponsoring a “Texas Roadhouse” fundraising event to benefit Saint Michael School on Tuesday, November 12th. Our school will receive 10% of the total group sales. In addition, we will be selling bags of peanuts and Texas Roadhouse signature dinner roll vouchers with free appetizer passes attached for $5. There will be chances on gift cards and baskets. Texas Roadhouse gift cards can be purchased through our SCRIP gift card program which will add to our profits. Attached to last week’s bulletin was our “Dine to Donate” flyer to present when ordering. If you need additional flyers, please contact the school office.
This month we have invited the parents and grandparents of students in Kindergarten to join their child (grandchild) for lunch on November 14th. Kindergarten will go to lunch after the “Pow Wow” which will be held at 11:15am in Our Lady of Loretto Community Hall. Lunch will be served at approximately 11:30am.
Our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be traveling to Bishop Carroll Catholic High School for a retreat on Friday, November 15th. The students are anticipating a great day! Thank you to Mr. Nagy for coordinating and planning the visit!
