It was so wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, and parishioners at our annual “Open House.” Your continual support and vested interest in Saint Michael School is truly a blessing.
Thank you to everyone who purchased items from our Scholastic Book Fair. Proceeds directly benefit our school library. Your generosity has provided our students with new reading materials and encourages them to become lifelong readers. We thank Mrs. Viki Krug, Mrs. Autumn Weakland, Mrs. Shea Lego, and Ms. Heather Strittmatter for assisting with the Book Fair throughout the week.
We congratulate Izabella Eckenrode on being selected as the 3rd PLACE Winner in her division for the 2019 School Bus Safety Poster Contest! Izabella and her family will be honored guests at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence for an awards ceremony in recognition for her accomplishment.
Tuesday, September 24th, will mark the mid-term of the first marking period. Mid-term reports will be sent home with students in grades fourth through eighth on Monday, September 30th.
Parents and grandparents of our first-grade students are cordially invited to attend this month’s special lunch on Monday, September 23rd @ 11:30 am. We are looking forward to serving you!
We are partnering with the Carmelite Sisters of the Word to help in their efforts to feed the people of Haiti. The students, faculty, and staff are asked to contribute to an emergency food drive throughout this week to assist the least of our brothers and sisters. We are grateful for this opportunity to be of service to others.
Saint Francis University Occupational Therapy students will be conducting sensory lessons that lend themselves to the integration of math, spelling, and reading skills with students in kindergarten through fifth grade. This program will be held one hour, once a week, over the course of 6 weeks. Our students look forward to the activities. Pre-service teachers from Saint Francis University will present a lesson to our third-grade students about "Cyberbullying” on Wednesday, September 25th. We welcome the sharing of their time and knowledge
Our entire school family will gather as one FAITH FAMILY as we participate in our first “Christ is R.I.C.H. in Me” lesson on Thursday, September 26th. We will focus on the meaning of “Respect” featuring the life of Saint John Paul. School will not be in session on Friday, September 27th due to a Diocesan Teacher In-service. Classes resume on Monday, September 30th.
